Photograph Your Ticket

Use your phone or any camera to take a clear photo of your lottery ticket. Make sure the entire ticket is in the frame, including all printed numbers, the draw dates, and any barcodes. Good lighting and a flat surface give the best results. You do not need any special app — your phone's built-in camera works perfectly.

Upload Your Photo

Head to the Upload page and select your ticket photo. Our system accepts JPG, PNG, and most common image formats. You can also skip the website entirely and email your ticket photo directly to inbound@lottobotto.com — we will process it automatically and send you a confirmation.

Get Your Results

Once your ticket is uploaded, our AI reads every number on it, identifies the lottery game and draw dates, and stores your ticket securely. When official drawing results become available, we automatically check your numbers and send you an email with your results, including any prize amounts. If the drawing has not happened yet, your ticket shows a "Waiting" status and you will be notified as soon as results are in.

Behind the Scenes

When you upload a ticket photo, here is what happens behind the scenes:

  1. Image Processing — Your photo is optimized for readability, including automatic rotation and enhancement.
  2. AI Number Extraction — Our AI vision model reads the printed text on your ticket, extracting game type, numbers, draw dates, and modifiers like Power Play or Megaplier.
  3. Validation — Extracted numbers are validated against the rules for each lottery game (correct range, correct count) to ensure accuracy.
  4. Result Matching — Your numbers are compared against official winning numbers from the relevant drawing.
  5. Prize Calculation — We determine your prize tier based on how many numbers matched, including any multiplier bonuses.
  6. Notification — You receive an email (and optional push notification) with your complete results.

Tips for Best Results

Our AI works best when it can clearly see all the text on your ticket. Follow these tips for the most accurate results:

Good Lighting — Take your photo in a well-lit area. Natural daylight or bright indoor lighting works best. Avoid harsh shadows or glare from overhead lights.
Keep It Flat — Place your ticket on a flat surface before photographing it. Wrinkled or curved tickets can make numbers harder to read.
Full Ticket in Frame — Make sure the entire ticket is visible in the photo, including the top header and bottom barcode. Cropped edges can cause the system to miss important information like draw dates or game type.
One Ticket Per Photo — Upload one ticket per image for the most reliable results. If you have multiple tickets, upload each one separately.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

Occasionally, our AI may have trouble reading a ticket — for example, if the photo is blurry, the ticket is damaged, or the lighting is poor. If this happens, you will receive an email explaining the issue and suggesting how to fix it. Common problems include:

  • Blurry or out-of-focus photos — try retaking the photo with steadier hands
  • Partial ticket visible — make sure the full ticket is in the frame
  • Unrecognized lottery game — check our supported lotteries
  • Glare covering numbers — adjust the angle to reduce reflections
